It’s good to meet you

Who I am as counsellor matters just as much as the skills I bring. So here’s a little about me, to help you get a sense of the person you may be working with.

My therapeutic approach integrates humanistic and psychodynamic teachings - which means we might explore your confidence, sense of self, and personal growth, while also noticing how past experiences and early relationships may still echo in the present.

I have worked with a national bereavement service, supported clients within an LGBT+ charity, and provided therapy in a low-cost community practice. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different walks of life, each bringing their own stories, struggles and strengths.

I am a cis gay man, and that’s an important part of who I am and how I understand the world. It doesn’t mean I only work with LGBT+ clients — it simply means I am committed to creating an affirming space where diversity is respected and welcomed.

I know from personal experience how powerful it can be to have a confidential space where you feel truly listened to and understood. That sense of connection is what drew me to this work, and it continues to inspire me in every client relationship.
